Who is Sangha Night for?

Sangha Night is open to practitioners of all levels. People of different backgrounds and experience practicing together has always been one of the characteristics and strengths of Sangha (spiritual community). While we welcome anyone to attend the class, we recommend you first become familiar with the meditation practices we do: the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Cultivation of Loving Kindness (Metta Bhavana). These practices are not introduced at Sangha Night. More info is on the main calendar page.

You can learn the practices by taking one of the following classes:

  • A six-week Introduction to Meditation course to get a thorough grounding. (more info)
  • Attending our Thursday drop-in class. (more info)
  • You may also want to take the Introduction to Buddhism course for a good overview of Buddhist concepts and terminology. We do try to keep the teaching direct and accessible and do not assume previous knowledge of Buddhism. (more info)

Introduction to Sangha Night : Program  : Shrine room etiquette : Suggested donation : Threefold path training
