Karunadakini
Karunadakini started practicing Buddhism in 1993 at age 23 with the London Buddhist Center, moving to San Francisco eight months later where she's been involved ever since. Ordained in 2006 in Scotland she currently co-leads the "Dharma Dykes" meditation group and is on the team for Sangha night. She is very fond of the Bodhisatvas, particularly White Tara and Padmasambhava. Her name means "Dakini of Compassion", or "the freedom and wisdom that arises out of compassion".
Trained as a marriage and family therapist, she now works as a transition specialist, counseling special education high school students and assisting them in preparing to leave high school. She lives with her girlfriend and their very energetic dog in the East Bay. She is the primary caregiver for her mother who lives in San Jose, and she is starting to feel a bit middle aged.
