Retreats at Jikoji

Here is general retreat information

This page: Introduction to Jikoji : Driving Directions to Jikoji

Jikoji retreat center is where we do many of our retreats. It is situated in a valley within an open preserve of forests and ridges. There are many beautiful trails to hike in the afternoon free time. It takes a little more than an hour to get to Jikoji from San Francisco. The buildings are heated by wood fire stoves and electric heaters (in the dorms) but it is best to be prepared for cold and/or wet weather

Directions

  1. Take Highway 280 South to 92 West.
  2. Take 92 West a few miles to the top of the hill and turn left on Skyline Boulevard (Hwy 35). (DO NOT try to find Jikoji using the addresses on Skyline--they are not in sequence!)
  3. Stay on Skyline for roughly 45 minutes. The first landmark is the Page Mill Road sign.
  4. About 4.5 miles past Page Mill Road, look for a very big rock (20 feet high or so) with some trees in front of it on the left side of the road.
  5. Take the next right after the rock: there is a mailbox that says 12100 Skyline Blvd, a brown gate, and a small sign: Jikoji. The gate may be latched, but it won't be locked.
  6. Follow the dirt road down a short distance, bearing right at the fork, to the Jikoji parking lot. The road is a little rough, but safe in rainy weather.
