Residential Retreat Calendar 2008
The retreat centers listed below are all in the Santa Cruz Mountains - a beautiful area of land less than 2 hours' drive from San Francisco. Day retreat dates will be announced closer to the time of their being offered through Center bulletins and on the web. Click here to be added to the Center email bulletin. NOTE: paying online DOES NOT register you for a retreat -- we still need your contact information.
You can learn the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana (Cultivation of Loving-Kindness) meditations at our drop-in class and/or six-week meditation courses.
February 15-19
Women's Western U.S. and Mitra Retreat(open to women Order members and mitras) at Vajrapani.
Led by Karunadevi and Padmadharini on the theme of the Four Noble Truths.
Registration deadline Feb 8.
March 14-17
at Jikoji. (Friday 7:30pm to Monday 5pm, with the option to stay through Sunday 5pm)
Open Retreat
Led by Suvarnaprabha and Padmatara. Yoga led by Ann Dennehy
Sliding scale: $255-$180 (2 days: $200-$140) * + dana for teachers and the cook. (Paying the higher rate in advance helps others come on retreat at a lower rate).

Led by Tejananda, senior Order member and author of "The Buddhist Path of Awakening".

* A note about prices. The Bay Area Friends of the Western Buddhist Order (FWBO) is a nonprofit organization that runs on donations and the support of those attending its events and classes. We would like to offer the Dharma to anyone with interest and are very happy to have reduced rates for those who need them. Please arrange reduced rates in advance when possible.
